On Oct. 13, 2016, EllisDon was awarded with two Innovation Awards at the 2016 CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter Gala and Awards Program. Out of five categories, two EllisDon-built projects were presented with these prestigious awards. The first was in the New Construction/ Core and Shell category for work completed on the RBC Waterpark Place project. The second was in the Commercial Interiors category for work completed at the Cisco Systems Canada Headquarters"The CaGBC Awards Gala is held to recognize high initiative, unique design and exemplary execution in sustainability within the field of construction. EllisDon was proud this year to be part of the construction team involved with several award-winning projects, including Waterpark Place and Cisco HQ. EllisDon's award did not come in the form of a trophy, but rather the satisfaction of knowing we are a company that continues to build elite, award-winning buildings," said Raseem Rehman, Sustainability Coordinator, Sustainable Building Services.The Innovation Awards Program distinguishes individuals in the green building industry, as well as projects in Southern Ontario which go above and beyond the normal scope of sustainable best practices. This event is the chapter’s largest networking and fundraising event of the year bringing together 300 industry leaders and supporters to celebrate their successful creations and provides students with an opportunity to enter the spotlight with new and innovative ideas.
