Mississauga, October 26, 2016 — This past Monday, EllisDon was presented with Canada’s Safest Employer Award at the Safest Employer Gala at Arcadian Court in Toronto.The Safest Employer Award is presented by Canadian Occupational Safety in partnership with Workplace Safety and Prevention Services and encompasses 10 industry-specific categories. EllisDon was the Gold recipient in the Building and Construction category. The gala brings together the entire safety community and provides an opportunity to network and discover best practices that are changing workplaces across Canada and fostering a culture of safety.“It is an honour to have our Health and Safety execution and expertise recognized through this prestigious award. The award boasts 10- industry specific categories and companies are judged based on a wide range of health and safety elements, including employee training, OHS management systems, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, and innovated health and safety initiatives. EllisDon actively participates in several industry based safety committees providing staff, subcontractors, and owners, with the resources to achieve maximum performance.
