A "Little" Effort Goes a Long Way

On March 17th, McKay-Cocker hosted a free skate event at the Argyle Arena in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area (BBBSOLA). From 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, a small group of BBBSOLA 'Littles'— as the program kids are affectionately known—hit the rink with their mentor 'Bigs' to show-off their skating skills. Afterwards, They took to the stands to watch a hockey match between cross-town rivals, McKay-Cocker and EllisDon.


EllisDon and McKay-Cocker Face-Off for BBBSOLABig Brothers Big Sisters is a volunteer-driven charity with deep roots in Canadian and international communities that enriches young lives through mentoring. McKay-Cocker— a longtime supporter of the 40-year-old, London-branch of the organization— organized this latest March Break event to unite 'Littles' with the positive role models that build their communities.After cheering on a frenzied match that ended in a 5-5 tie, the 'Littles' and 'Bigs' interacted with players from both teams.
