Today on Canada Day, we are taking the day to reflect on Canada’s past and educate ourselves on how we can better support everyone in our country, especially our Indigenous communities. We are sharing some educational resources and tools to learn more about Indigenous communities and culture:

• Listen to things such as: Traditional Stories and Creation Stories, Indigenous Experiences in Public Service or podcasts on Residential Schools and Project Naming
• Watch a panel discussion with Knowledge Keepers, videos from Veterans Affairs Canada about the experiences of Indigenous Peoples in major Canadian conflicts, learn about the homelands and traditions of Indigenous Peoples in collaboration with Parks Canada
• Read books that share the experiences, triumphs and incredibly important contributions of Indigenous Peoples in Canada’s history

Let’s all take some time today to reflect on Canada’s past and educate ourselves on how we can be better to support everyone in our country.
