EllisDon is excited to announce the West Park Healthcare Centre project reached substantial completion on November 21, 2023.

“Over the last five years, we have been hard at work building an accessible and inclusive space that will provide specialized healthcare services to residents in the Greater Toronto Area,” says Andrew Anderson, Senior Vice President and Toronto Area Manager, EllisDon. “As we present West Park staff with the keys to their new facility, I would like to thank our skilled project team, trade and consultant partners, and all other project stakeholders for their efforts and support to enable us to reach this significant construction milestone. It took a lot of hard work, dedication, and a solid integrated approach to reach this point and it is great to see it all come together.”

In June 2018, Infrastructure Ontario awarded EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare a fixed-price contract to design, build, finance and maintain the hospital’s development project. The new 730,000 square foot facility offers advanced rehabilitative and specialized complex care, helping patients get their lives back.

The new hospital has been designed and built to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standard, which recognizes buildings with reduced environmental impacts. Some of the green features include an expansion of green space and extensive landscaping for therapy courtyards, sensory gardens, and fitness trails.

As a result of this development, patients will have increased access to rehabilitation programs and specialized services for years to come.
