EllisDon has signed the Design-Build Agreement for Phase 2 and the Construction Management Agreement for Phase 3 of the Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment in New Westminster, British Columbia.

With a completion date in early 2025, Phase 2 of the Redevelopment is now underway and will create a new acute care tower with more beds for intensive care, cardiac intensive care, medicine, and surgical patients primarily in single-patient, private rooms. Additionally, this phase will create a new emergency department, medical imaging unit, 25 operating rooms, two radiology suites, an additional CT scanner, maternity operating rooms, a new entrance and a rooftop helipad.During Phase 3, EllisDon will upgrade and expand areas in the existing Health Care Centre and Columbia Tower while work on this phase will begin in 2023, with completion scheduled for 2026."EllisDon is proud to be working with the Fraser Health Authority, City of New Westminster and our design build partners on this critical healthcare infrastructure.
