As leaders in the construction and building services industry, it is our responsibility to find innovative and cost effective ways to do our part to limit global warming.EllisDon has committed to reducing the carbon emissions of our own emissions and those of our supply chain (Scope 1, 2 & 3) to net zero by 2050. We are also committed to setting credible reduction goals for 2030 and intend to submit to the Science Based Targets Initiative in 2022. To set a Science Based Target for both our own operations and that of our supply chain, we must know where our emissions come from. We must gather the data to inform our commitments. At the Royal Columbian Hospital project, our site team in partnership with EllisDon’s Sustainable Building Solutions team, design team, suppliers and subtrades are measuring our carbon footprint on-site and working towards ambitious reduction targets with a strong focus on embodied carbon.

The Royal Columbian Hospital project will act as EllisDon’s pilot project to apply the lessons learned across all EllisDon sites to inform best practices and implement meaningful emission reductions.
