EllisDon Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day with Special Fireside Chat

In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, EllisDon is hosting a special event, Northern Exposure: Life as a gay Métis in Northern Canada.

Tune in to this intimate one-on-one conversation between Garrett Cochrane, a LGBTQ2+ and Métis individual, and EllisDon’s Director of Socio-Economic Development and Indigenous Relations, Chris Reeves, to learn about the intersection of geography, history, and culture that have shaped Garret’s experiences in the unforgiving Northwest Territories.

“At EllisDon, our philosophy has been that local involvement in our projects forms the greatest opportunities to enhance Indigenous communities’ success for future generations. It is important that we have conversations, like this one with Garret, to fully understand how we can support and deliver positive benefits that will lift up members of the community, while continuing to commit to Truth and Reconciliation,” said Chris Reeves.
