Where does my information go when I schedule and register for my vaccination and how do I know my information is safe and kept private?

We are using two different systems for our vaccination clinic. One for booking your vaccination and one for recording your vaccination with Ontario Heath. For the booking system, we are using a third party platform and only limited people that are supporting the scheduling will have access to this system. For the official health record, we are using the Ontario Health COVax system that is supplied by the Region of Peel. Your vaccination details will be entered into this system, and you will get a printout of your vaccination upon checkout. No EllisDon or member company sponsoring this clinic will have access to this system. A third party health professional team of COVax trained users will be the only people entering and having access to your personal information. This information is collected via IPads and put into the Ontario Health System through a web interface with no access to our intranet or wifi.OTHER

Why is EllisDon creating its own vaccination clinic?

As Construction is an essential service and many of our work locations are in communities with a high community spread, or located in a hotspot, EllisDon wants to support the process of getting their employees, workers and their families vaccinated to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Are these vaccines taking away from higher-risk populations who need them?

As of May 24th, every adult in Ontario will be able to book a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the provincial portal. Our clinic falls within the timeframe for Ontarians full eligibility and by creating our own clinic we are alleviating vaccine time slots for other people at other locations that our employees would be looking to fill as well.

How did EllisDon get approved to host a vaccination clinic?

The process to get approved and host a vaccination clinic is quite complex as both the Province and the local Public Health Unit (PHU) must approve the clinic. Their current focus for mass vaccination clinics is in areas of hotspots and high community spread and EllisDon falls under both categories.

How many vaccines will be administered during the clinic?

In a 10 day period, we are aiming to administer 10,000 - 15,000 doses.Any other questions: Please email edvaccineclinic@ellisdon.com
