Mississauga, ON, June 29, 2017— Last week, EllisDon presented the Ottawa Hospital Foundation with a $60,000 donation in support of a new large-scale hospital project that will service the Greater Ottawa Community. "Ottawa is where we live, work and play, so it's a proud feeling to be part of a team with such a love for their community. EllisDon and our sub-trade and consultant partners are proud to make our donation to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation knowing the money raised will go directly towards improving the lives of our friends, family, and neighbours," said Wayne Ferguson, Ottawa Area Manager, EllisDon.Earlier this month EllisDon volunteers from the Ottawa Area Office and sites across Ottawa and Kingston, organized a charity golf tournament at the Canadian Golf Country Club. Through registrations and donations, the team raised $60,000 toward the chosen recipient - the Ottawa Hospital Foundation. The money raised would help provide essential funding required for a new large development project, a super-hospital which would service the Ottawa and surrounding community. "Community support for The Ottawa Hospital is vital in order to continue providing innovative care and research. We're grateful for EllisDon's commitment to priority needs at The Ottawa Hospital," said Tim Kluke, President & CEO, The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.Special thanks to Ashley Nevins for spearheading the golf tournament as well as all the volunteers who stepped in in the days leading up to event including Jennifer Barr, Katy Traplin, Kelly Ann Purdy, Mirelle Lemieux-Boileau, Angie Ouellette, Yvette Landry, Kelly Duncan, Fiona Downsing, Vicki Laprade, Crystal Nevins, and Lori Ellis.
