EllisDon Reaches Financial Close on Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre

Halifax, NS, August 21, 2020— The province of Nova Scotia has awarded EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare the contract to design, build, finance and maintain the Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre.The EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare team (EDIH) is made of industry leading firms including EllisDon Capital (Developer and Equity Investor), EllisDon Corporation (Design Builder), Parkin Architects / Fowler Bauld & Mitchell (Architects), and EllisDon Facilities Services (Service Provider)."We are extremely proud of the collaborative efforts of the EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare team and the Province to reach Financial Close in the middle of the global COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to getting shovels in the ground and beginning our long term partnership with the Province as we deliver this great project,” said Peter Bullen, Senior Director, EllisDon Capital.The Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre involves new construction of a 134,000 sq.ft. outpatient facility and associated site works located on a 15-acre site in the Bayers Lake Business Park located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.The new Community Outpatient Centre will include: space for primary care services to be delivered by a healthcare team such as doctors, nurses and other health professionals, clinics such as physio and occupational therapy, high blood pressure, diabetes and orthopedic assessment, 17 examination rooms, 24 dialysis stations, diagnostic imaging (x-rays and ultrasounds), blood collection, post-surgery or post-treatment follow-up appointments."We are more than excited to get started on this very important project for healthcare redevelopment in Nova Scotia.
