EllisDon Selected as Construction Manager for New Brunswick Museum Revitalization Project

The New Brunswick Museum has reached another milestone in its revitalization project, selecting EllisDon as the project's construction manager. The announcement was made by the museum’s board of directors, who cited EllisDon’s extensive experience in complex cultural projects and commitment to community building as key factors in their decision.

“We are confident EllisDon’s expertise will be instrumental in the successful completion of this important project,” said board chair Tracy Clinch in a news release.

EllisDon has a proven track record of completing numerous large-scale and complex construction projects throughout the Maritimes and across Canada. Shaun Stiles, Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Atlantic Canada, expressed his honour in undertaking the work for the museum.

“This partnership is not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building a legacy that will stand as a testament to the shared values and aspirations of this vibrant province,” says Shaun Stiles in the release.

The revitalization project will involve the renovation and expansion of the existing museum building on Douglas Avenue in Saint John. The project is expected to open to the public sometime in 2026, with previous estimates putting the costs at around $130 million.

EllisDon is committed to bringing their expertise and experience to this project and making it a success. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting revitalization project for the New Brunswick Museum.
