Mississauga, ON, March 8, 2017— On Thursday, March 2, 2017, EllisDon was presented with the award for Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures at the 2016 Most Admired Corporate Cultures Summit and Awards Gala in Toronto, ON.On December 1, 2016, Waterstone Human Capital Ltd. released its annual list, now in its 13th year, of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Waterstone Human Capital Ltd. – an executive recruitment and human capital consulting practice – created the national program that recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that have helped them enhance performance and sustain a competitive advantage.“Our values are our triumph because they form the foundation of everything we do. Every success we have experienced–on every scale– is deeply rooted in our seeking to be better for our clients, for our industry, and for ourselves. At EllisDon, business is only part of a much larger picture,” said Geoff Smith, President and CEO, EllisDon.
The program’s Board of Governers selected ten winners in four categories – Enterprise, Mid-Market, Growth and Small Cap, and Broader Public Sector. Nominees were judged on six criteria: vision and leadership; recruitment and hiring for fit; cultural alignment and measurement; retention, rewards and recognition; organizational performance; and corporate social responsibility. EllisDon was selected as one of 10 winners in the Enterprise category (revenues above $500 million), a testament to it being at the forefront of best practices in Canada.“In our work at Waterstone, we partner with entrepreneurial-minded leaders of high-growth organizations to help them recruit for fit and provide counsel on human capital issues to drive performance,” said Marty Parker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Waterstone Human Capital and Chair of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures™. “What’s so impressive about this diverse list of 2016 winners is their shared belief that culture is their competitive advantage – they know that building and sustaining a great culture is a significant asset that drives performance. The 2016 winning organizations have shown diverse strategies in achieving inspirational cultures that have measureable results.”
