Mississauga, ON, July 6, 2021- Today, EllisDon announces the appointment of Sean Dekoning to the role of Vice President and Area Manager for Calgary. As Vice President and Area Manager, Sean will be responsible for overseeing and leading the entirety of EllisDon Calgary's Buildings Group.Sean is a talented and proven natural leader who upholds our EllisDon Values in everything that he does," said David McFarlane, Senior Vice President, Western Canada, EllisDon. "Sean and I are excited about the horizon for the Calgary Buildings group and he has my full support along with our other Western Canada Buildings' leaders."Sean graduated from the Civil Engineering Technology program at SAIT and joined EllisDon in 2004 as an Estimator. Two years later he made the move out of the office and became a Project Manager before being promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2011. As Senior Project Manager, Sean successfully helped lead teams on some of EllisDon Calgary's most exciting projects including the $1 billion South Health Campus and the Schulich School of Engineering Redevelopment at the University of Calgary. Sean made a return to estimating in 2017 when he was promoted to Chief Estimator for the Calgary Area, overseeing and providing leadership on a variety of projects in Alberta.
