We are thrilled to announce EllisDon’s Centennial College A-Building Expansion project has won the prestigious 2024 #CAGBCAward for New Construction. This award recognizes the team responsible for a new commercial or institutional building demonstrating optimal environmental sustainability and occupant health and wellness.

Centennial College A-Building is one of Canada's first mass-timber post-secondary education facilities designed to Zero Carbon building standard, LEED Gold, and WELL Silver certifications. The operational and embodied carbon of the building have been significantly reduced through collaborative efforts across the entire design-build team.

As the Design-Builder of this contemporary 6-story building, EllisDon pulled together a world-class team to design and construct the facility as an example of excellence in architecture, sustainability, community building, and higher education. The building draws heavily from Indigenous principles and references nature and designs from First Nations, which is instrumental to the project.
