EllisDon's Kieran Hawe and Jolene Mclaughlin Participate in Canadian Construction Association's Annual Conference

EllisDon’s President & CEO, Kieran Hawe, attended the Canadian Construction Association’s (CCA) Annual Conference. The conference, which brought together industry leaders from across the country, allowed attendees to engage in discussions on the construction industry's future.

Kieran Hawe participated in a CEO Roundtable alongside Marie-Claude Houle, President of EBC Inc., hosted by CCA President, Mary Van Buren, discussing the value of defining and evolving a corporation's purpose and its link to employee engagement and organizational success.

“At EllisDon, we are guided by our values, and those values are the essence of who we are and what our purpose is - to deliver great careers to each other. How we achieve our purpose will never change and the foundational values of respect, integrity, trust and the entrepreneurial enthusiasm will always remain.

Although our values will never waver, we must however embrace new technologies, new markets, and new ways of working that enhance our competitive edge and our social impact. These initiatives also create career opportunities – it helps raise the glass ceiling for our young leaders,” said Kieran.

Jolene Mclaughlin, Vice President of Climate and Sustainability, sat on a panel to discuss how sustainability is changing the face of construction and what's expected for the future of the industry. The panel was moderated by Jen Hancock from Chandos and included Shane Mulligan from Heidelberg Materials and Matt Pitcarin from BC Road Builders Association.

We are proud to have Kieran and Jolene represent EllisDon at this important event and look forward to seeing how their learnings will help shape the future of our industry.
