In a dedicated effort to make a positive impact, a team of volunteers from our Toronto area office recently joined forces in support of Raising the Roof. These volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a build day and accomplished a remarkable feat, moving nearly 12,000 lbs of soil. This soil was a vital component in the establishment of a much-needed community garden.

Raising the Roof, an organization committed to finding lasting solutions to homelessness in Canada pursues its mission by creating affordable housing opportunities. Their Reside program focuses on renovating vacant or under-utilized spaces into energy-efficient, affordable housing units. This is achieved through partnerships with social enterprise contractors and local housing providers.

Reside not only helps address homelessness but also stimulates economic growth by generating employment opportunities. By producing new units of deeply affordable housing with comprehensive support services, Reside represents a tangible, targeted, and long-term solution to ending homelessness in Canada.
