Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada Inc. Joins EllisDon's Carbon Impact Initiative

Mississauga, ON, April 25, 2017—EllisDon is pleased to announce that Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada – renowned world leader in the manufacture, marketing, and sales of high efficiency HVAC technology – has become the latest partner to join the Carbon Impact Initiative.“EllisDon is thrilled to have Mitsubishi Electric Sales Canada join the Carbon Impact Initiative,” says Andrew Bowerbank, Global Director of Sustainable Building Services. “Mitsubishi’s expertise will be invaluable to our joint efforts and we very much look forward to working together.”The Carbon Impact Initiative (CII), launched under EllisDon’s Low Carbon Agenda, brings together industry champions and government leaders to collaborate and create strategies in establishing low-carbon built environments in Canada.

The Carbon Impact Initiative brings proven industry expertise to designing and constructing hyper-efficient buildings and green infrastructure, integrating innovative smart/clean energy technologies, adopting low carbon materials, conserving resources, and exploring ways to retrofit and adapt existing building stock to meet new performance targets. This will be achieved through four action items:

1. Action Item 1: Building the Next Generation of High-Performance Buildings and Infrastructure;
2. Action Item 2: Developing a Carbon Modelling Tool;
3. Action Item 3: Adopting Cleantech Innovation through Testing and Verification; and
4.
