Stir It Up - Come Join the Party!

EllisDon in partnership with Build-a-Dream invites you to our virtual celebration, “Stir it Up - Celebrating with Impact,” an afternoon of music, fun, and entertainment while celebrating inclusive diversity.The event, on September 8, from 4:30 - 6:00 pm ET, will kick off with the audience participating in a demonstration by an experienced Mixologist, using items found in your home to make a cocktail/mocktail. Then we will Stir It Up and enjoy the show! During this event, you will experience the musical talents of DJ Pipes to help us set the mood, hear firsthand how diversity and inclusion have shaped the lives of people, and cap off the event with a performance from a steel drum band.Purchase tickets HERE.

Dave Dame, Product Leader

In his role as Director of Accessibility, Dave is leading the accessibility portfolio for Surface Products aligning with Windows and product innovation roadmaps to empower users of all abilities. Dave is a leadership coach, enterprise agile product leader and trainer with over 20 years of experience, which he leverages to drive large-scale transformation in complex organizations.

Morgan O’Grady, Mixologist

Morgan fell in love with the creative side of bartending, but she's here for a good time too! She loves sharing laughs from behind the bar and sharing laughs from the other side of the internet. She will be mixing up drinks and laughs for our Stir It Up event.

Moe Hamandi

Moe is a considered Lebanese Canadian leader and influencer in the fields of diversity and inclusion. He is the first Lebanese member and Vice president of Montreal Pride board. He is a business developer and partner relationship professional with a career spanning 11 years in the financial services, hospitality, partner relationships, research, training, marketing, communications, and international NGOs.

Philip Cote

Philip Cote, MFA, Moose Deer Point First Nation, is a Young Spiritual Elder, Indigenous artist, activist, educator, historian, and Ancestral Knowledge Keeper. He is engaged in creating opportunities for artmaking and teaching methodologies through Indigenous symbolism, traditional ceremonies, history, oral stories, and land-based pedagogy. Citing all of his ancestry, he is Shawnee, Lakota, Potawatomi, Ojibway, Algonquin, and Mohawk.


Bruno Ariganello, DJ

Bruno Ariganello who also goes by DJ Pipes, has had a love for music since he was a young teen. It was at the age of 15 when he was introduced to his first pair of turntables and it was then that Bruno became fascinated with the art of DJ'ing. Bruno first began DJ'ing in 2001. He started out doing weddings and other social events.

Toronto All Stars

This quartet is a small part of the TORONTO ALL STARS Steel Orchestra which is one of the leading youth Steelbands in Toronto. The band has now evolved to include musicians from different diaspora across the Greater Toronto Area, ranging in age from 11yrs to 21yrs. Salmon Cupid is the Musical Director and under his careful tutelage they have racked up an impressive success rate in competition. They have performed at major halls in the city of Toronto; Massey Hall, Roy Thompson Hall, and the Ford Centre for the Performing Arts to name a few.

Haneya Khokhar, Emcee

A Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist for EllisDon, with 5 years of experience working in HR for aerospace; supply chain and construction industries. In her free time, she volunteers in a Women in Leadership Outreach program as a Coordinator.Ticket sales are now live through EventBrite and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to The Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, which aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples.We encourage everyone to join us in celebrating how being unique makes our teams better and stronger, and also raise money for a great cause.
